Learn About Stepping Stone Farm
A Family Farm
Stepping Stone Farm is an agritourism destination in central Kentucky valuing community, family, and agriculture education by providing local fresh fruits and vegetables, with unique family farm experiences and lessons on Kentucky’s value agriculture products.
Stepping Stone Farm started as a sunflower field to host dove hunts for friends and family. This soon turned into hundreds visiting the farm during sunflower season to take pictures.
In the meantime, Reed Valley Orchard reached out for advice in looking to retire. After discussing visions and plans, Ally (sister), Hanna (sister-in-law) and Brandon (brother) decided to take a leap of faith by taking on the project of expanding our sunflowers to a full on agritourism experience.
Dana and Trudie Reed have guided the trio to take over full operation of all Reed Valley fruits as they enjoy retirement. In hopes to keep many family traditions alive, u-pick will be available at Reed Valley on Monday, Thursday and Saturdays throughout the seasons. Thursday - Monday you can find fresh picked fruits in the market at Stepping Stone Farm just 2 miles from the Reeds farm.
